Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a breeder or a pet store?
We are breeders and our ranches are located in Southern California.

Can you special order or obtain different breeds?
Yes we can but we rather not. We can order any type of breed through a puppy broker but we rather not since we do not know what type of environment the parents and the puppies live in and have no idea how much experience the breeder has. Please do not call or email us about buying puppies.

What are registration papers and do your puppies have them?
All our puppies come with Continental Kennel Club or Certified Purebreed Database applications to certify you new puppy with their company. Applying for registration with any kennel club is optional. Your puppy having registration papers does not guarantee the parents’ or puppies’ health or the quality of the parents or puppy. The kennel clubs issue a certificate from their company acknowledging your dog as a purebreed dog and also offers the dog’s pedigree with an additional fee. If you do get the certificate, you would have the benefit of showing your dog at the kennel club your dog is registered to and if you breed your dog your puppies can possibly get the same applications to be certified by the same kennel club.

Do you have any health guarantees?
Yes. We have a 48 hour general health guarantee for you to get your new puppy examined by a veterinarian.  We also have a 1 week guarantee against the Parvovirus. We also provide a 1 year health guarantee on any hereditary or congenital illness or disease. For more specific information please view our “Bill of Sales Contract” found under “Links” on our website.

Are the puppies up to date on all the vaccinations?
Yes. All the puppies’ shots are up to date and we provide a medical history record for each puppy. We will advise you on when and what to do for the next vaccination or you can take the medical history record to your veterinarian and follow their instructions.

Do you ship any of your puppies?
We do offer shipping but the puppy has to meet our requirements. Shipping fee is $300 which includes the airway bill, Certificate of Acclamation, health certificate, traveling crate and water dispenser. We only ship our puppies when they are at least 12 weeks old and have had their third immunization shot and deworming. If you live within 8 hours of Los Angeles, we prefer you take the drive and visit us and the puppy. Pictures and videos are great but there is nothing like meeting your puppy in person.

I want to purchase a puppy but the requirements are not met?
If the puppy you want is too small or young to ship you would have to pay the whole amount for the puppy and the shipping fee of $300. Once the puppy has had their third immunization shot, we will make shipping arrangements and call or email you with all the necessary information to pick up your puppy.  If the puppy is an average size or bigger toy breed we can possibly make an exception and ship before the third immunization shot if we feel comfortable about the health of our puppy.

What type of payment do you accept?
We accept any major credit card, PayPal or personal/business check. Please call or email to make an arrangement. If you pay by check you would have to wait 14 business days for the check to clear.

Is there a sales tax?
Yes, there is a sales tax on all customers purchasing within California.

I am out of state, what are the steps to purchase my new puppy?
Please call or email us for instructions.

What is the price range of all your puppies?
We have a wide range in prices from $900 to $2600. On average we sell our puppies for $1600 to $1800. The smaller the puppy will be at adult weight, the more it will cost.

Are those real testimonials from real Puppy Land customers?
Of course! Every review is written and submitted to us by actual customers. When people have a bad experience, they take the initiative to get their experience out on the internet to let it be known. When people have a good experience, they usually spread that through word of mouth. But when people have an exceptional experience, they take the time to actually write about it. The amount of testimonials we have compared to others speaks for itself.

What is a teacup?
The words teacup, micro, tiny or mini are just terms used to describe a smaller than average toy breed dog. A toy breed dog is any dog less than 10 lbs. and the average Yorkie and Maltese weigh 6-7 lbs. at adult weight. There is no such dog classified as a teacup breed, it is not recognized by any kennel club and you will not see any show quality dogs that are that small.

How big or small will my puppy be?
The easiest way for any consumer to shop for a puppy by size only would be to weigh the puppy at a certain age. A puppy will usually be about 3 times what they weigh at 8-9 weeks and will be 2 times what they weight at 12 weeks. Please view our "Puppy Growth Chart" or under “Breed Info” on our website.

Are there any guarantees on the size or weight of the puppy?
There are too many different factors when raising your puppy that is beyond our control. Due to this we cannot guarantee the size or the weight. The puppy’s food, living environment and exercise the first year of its life will have an effect on how big or small they will be as an adult. We have been using the puppy growth chart to figure out the adult weight and for the most part it has been very accurate. Nobody will provide you a written guarantee on the size or weight of a puppy as an adult.
